Happy New Year, everyone!⭐

I am so excited to start fresh and dedicate time to building and growing this community.

While reflecting on the past year, I spent plenty of time thinking about my goals for this community and what will truly set BFVC apart. Let’s face it—there are plenty of newsletters out there pumping out lists of resources and not much else. After numerous brainstorming sessions, I decided to create the BFVC Ally Investor Network for you all and launch BFVC’s Founder and Investor Series!

The Ally Investor Network will be a dedicated page within this newsletter/community featuring a list of investors committed to supporting diverse founders. These investors will be open to sharing resources with you—whether that’s through a one-on-one conversation or responding to an email.

The Founder Series will be a new addition to the content I create: full articles dedicated to a founder’s story, including their current trials and triumphs. Through the Founder Series, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase all that you’ve built, get on the radar of potential investors, and address pain points by asking for the support you need. The Investor Series will follow a similar format, but it will feature investors. I’ll interview them about one or more topics submitted by our BFVC founders. I want this community to genuinely connect founders and funders and to create a space where we can learn and grow together. I believe it’s essential to foster a funding landscape where underrepresented founders know there are real funding opportunities for them—whether through angel investors or venture capitalists.
